Is this only a running group?

We have members from across the entire spectrum. Everyone is included and supported. From just getting started, getting ready to walk your first 5k to training for an Ultra, we are encouraging you from beginning to end.

How do I register?

You can click on the link in the menu that says “Sign Up!”, or you can just show up and we can take care of you in person.

I missed the start date. Can I still join?

Yes. You can start at any point in the season. Just sign up by clicking the link or coming in person to the next training session. Make sure you send an email to us so we can be looking for you. support@TheRunningGroup.com

What is the membership fee?

All training groups this season are completely free

Summer/Fall 26 week season is $125.00 for new members and only $100.00 for returning members.

Ultra season is $145.00

Trails with us $65.00

One on one coaching sessions $85.00/hr

What are the target races?

This is the short list for target races. In reality there are so many members running various races around these that we really are training for any race you are doing.

Can I join if I have a different target race?

You sure can! We will just make a schedule for you that works with the groups, but you might add on or take off distance/time to your runs, based on what your personal schedule calls for.

Will I run/walk with a group or by myself?

We all have groups to run/walk with. It will include a mentor that can pass on great advice while you are actually doing your workout. Nothing like a little OJT to make the point stick.

What do I need to have?

Everyone needs a water bottle. After that it really depends on what your goals are if you are a walker or runner etc…

Where do the ultra’s meet?

The ultra runners meet at various locations throughout the valley leading to Auburn, places around cool and maybe one field trip up to Foresthill. We try to train terrain specific, so if you are running a mountain race  thats where you want to train. The 50k-50miler program spends most of its time on The Way Too Cool, Salmon Falls and AR-50 courses.

Are the ultra long runs on Saturday or Sunday?

We train on Saturdays so that you have a short shake out run on Sundays and can do that anywhere. Its just a great way t train and you get a part of your weekend to spend with your family.
